1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
‘tion fifty-five hundred and eighty-two of the Code of Virginia
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 5582. Where the instrument contains, or a person adds
his signature, words indicating that he signs for or on behalf
a principal or in a representative capacity, he is not liable on the
trument if he was duly authorized; but the mere addition of
rds describing him as an agent, or as filling a representative
aracter, without disclosing his principal, does not exempt him
m personal hability. |
