teachers colleges, of gifts, donations and benefactions offered by any person,

and to apply the same to any proper use for which the same may be intended.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it
shall be lawful for the board of the Virginia teachers colleges, to
accept any gift, donation or benefaction offered by any person for
any proper use by, or in connection with any or either of the State
teachers colleges under the management and control of said board,
and to apply the same directly to the use for which it was intended
by the donor, and at, and in connection with the college, or col-
leges for whose benefit the gift, donation or benefaction was made;
and if it be real estate, deed therefor shall be taken in the name of
said board.
