1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the cir-
cuit court of Stafford county, or the judge thereof in vacation, 1s
hereby authorized to appoint a resident of the city of Fredericksburg
as commissioner in chancery for the circuit court of Stafford county
who shall have authority to execute the duties appertaining to his
office, in the city of Fredericksburg.
