Chap. 238.—An ACT to Provide for the Printing of the Reports of the Su-
preme Court of Appeals, and for Other Purposes Connected Therewith ;.
and to Repeal Section 3 of Chapter 19 of the Code of 1860.
Approved March 29, 1871.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the superintendent of public printing shall contract for the
printing and binding of one thousand copies of the reports,
by the reporter of the court of appeals, of the decisions of
that court, in a style not inferior to the reports heretofore pub-
lished, and secure the copyright of the said reports for the
benefit of the commonwealth; and he shall deliver the volumes,
when completed, to the secretary of the commonwealth. In
all other respects, in relation to the printing and binding of
said reports, the section eight of the act of March first, eighteen
hundred and sixty-six, entitled an act to amend and re-enact
the provisions of the Code of eighteen hundred and sixty, and
the acts subsequent thereto, in regard to the public printer and
the public printing, shall apply.
2. Section three of chapter nineteen of the Code of eighteen
hundred and sixty, is hereby repealed.
, 3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
Whereas by a petition of William B. Taliaferro to the gene-
ral assembly of Virginia, it is shown that he is indebted to
the trustees of the Gloucester Charity school, to a large
amount, and that he had paid up the interest on this amount
promptly, to the commencement of the late war; and in the
said petition he prays to be relieved of the interest accrued
during the war; therefore, — :
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
authority be granted to the trustees of the Gloucester Charity
school to examine into the facts respecting the petition of
William B. Taliaferro, and if, in their judgment, he should be
relieved of interest accrued during the war, then the trustees
of the Gloucester Charity school are hereby authorized to re-
lieve William B. Taliaferro of said interest: provided, that
if said trustees do relieve said William B. Taliaferro, that be-
fore it can be taken advantage of by said William B. Talia.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
