Chap. 284.—An ACT to amend and re-enact chapter 208 of the acts of 1926,
entitled an act to authorize, empower and direct the board of supervisors of
the county of Princess Anne to borrow money by the issuance of bonds in
the aggregate sum of one hundred and twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000)
for the purpose of purchasing, building and improving roads and bridges in
Seaboard magisterial district in said county; to sell the said bonds; to pro-
vide for the payment of interest thereon and principal thereof and to author-
ize the commission of roads and bridges of Princess Anne county for Sea-
board magisterial district, to dispense the funds so obtained, approved March
18, 1926, by adding thereto two new sections to be numbered sections 8a and
8b, providing for the expenditure of the surplus of the funds raised under

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That chap-
ter two hundred and eight of the acts of nineteen hundred and twenty-
six, authorizing and empowering the board of supervisors of the county
of Princess Anne to borrow money by the issuance of bonds in the
aggregate sum of one hundred and twenty-five thousand dollars
($125,000) for the purpose of purchasing, building and improving
roads and bridges in Seaboard magisterial district in said county; to
sell the said bonds; to provide for the payment of interest thereon and
principal thereof and to authorize the commission of roads and bridges
of Princess Anne county for Seaboard magisterial district, to dispense
the funds so obtained, approved March eighteenth, nineteen hundred
and twenty-six, be amended and re-enacted by adding thereto two new
sections to be numbered sections eight-a and eight-b so as to read
as follows:
Section 8-a. Any surplus remaining from the construction of any
or all of the roads designated in the decree of the circuit court of
Princess Anne county, entered on the sixth day of August, nineteen
hundred and twenty-six, in accordance with chapter two hundred and
eight of the acts of nineteen hundred and twenty-six, approved March
eighteenth, nineteen hundred and twenty-six, other than interest on the
funds raised under said act and the premium received from the sale
of said bonds shall be expended on the roads designated in said decree
for the purpose of lengthening said roads so designated, each road
to receive the surplus remaining from the sum apportioned to that
road by said decree and such extension to be of the same type of con-
struction already provided for in the building of said roads from the
proceeds of said bond issue.
Section 8-b. That the surplus remaining from the interest paid on
the funds raised under this act and the premium paid by the purchasers
of the said bonds shall be expended by the said road commission in
improving the said roads provided for in said decree, or, in the discre-
tion of the road commission of Seaboard magisterial district in 1m-
proving any other road or roads and bridge or bridges in said Seaboard
magisterial district.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its passage.
