Chap. 270.—An ACT to amend and re-enact chapter 276 of the acts of the general
assembly of Virginia of 1922 entitled an act to provide for the entmeration
of the veterans, the wives and the widows of veterans of the Confederate army
and navy, and to repeal an act entitled an act to provide for the enumeration
of the veterans of the Confederate army and navy, approved March 20, 1920,
approved March 15, 1922. [11 B 354]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That chapter
two hundred and seventy-six of the acts of the general assembly of
Virginia, of nineteen hundred and twenty-two, be amended and _re-
enacted so as to read as follows: ,
Section 1. It shall be the duty of the commissioner of the revenue
ot each county and city on blanks furnished by the comptroller an-
nually at the time of taking the lists of property for taxation, to
enumerate the living veterans and the wives and widows of the veterans
of the Confederate army and navy in his county or city, obtaining their
names, ages, postoffice addresses, the value of their real and personal
property, their annual income, and when they were married. These
statistics shall be forwarded by the commissioner of the revenue col-
lecting them to the comptroller, on or before July first of each year.
Section 2. An act entitled an act to provide for the enumeration
of the veterans of the Confederate army and navy, approved March
wentieth, nineteen hundred and twenty, is hereby repealed.
