1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall
be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to place fish traps in
the north or south forks of the Shenandoah river in Warren county.
Any fish traps heretofore placed in the north or south forks of the
said river shall be removed immediately.
2. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions
of this act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon con-
viction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not less than ten dollars
nor more than fifty dollars for each day of such violation, or by con-
finement in jail for not more than thirty days or by both fine and 1m-
prisonment, in the discretion of the court or justice trying the case.
