Chap. 222.—An ACT to permit public utility corporations to put into effect,
subject to discretion of the State corporation commission to the contrary,
reductions in rates and charges by filing schedule or schedules of such revi-
sions without giving notice to the commission, to its patrons, or to the public,
for any particular period of time. {[S B 283]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
State corporation commission, in the exercise of its discretion, may
permit any public utility corporation to put into effect any pro
posed revision of its rate schedules, or any part thereof, withou
notice when the proposed revision effects no increases.
2. Nothing herein shall be construed as in any way repealing
or modifying the provisions of section forty hundred and sixty
five, Code of Virginia, nineteen hundred and nineteen, or any othe
applicable provisions of the law, except in so far as the provision:
hereof are clearly inconsistent with and in modification of existins
provisions.
3. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from it.
