Chap. 17.—An ACT to amend chapter 263 of the Code of Virginia by adding
thereto a new section to be numbered section 6243-a, relative to the calling of
the court docket in cities having over one hundred thousand inhabitants.

I. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
chapter two hundred and sixty-three of the Code of Virginia be,
and it is hereby, amended by the addition thereto of a new section
to be numbered section sixty-two hundred and forty-three-a, im-
mediately tollowing section sixty-two hundred and forty-three, as
tollows:
Section 6243-a. However, in every city or corporation court
located in a city having more than one hundred thousand inhahi-
tants. the docket mav be called for the purpose of fixing cases for
trial on such days, or at such intervals as may be directed by an
order of court.
2. This act shall be in effect on and after the first day of July,
nineteen hundred and twenty-eight.
