1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall
be unlawful for any person to hunt or chase any fox with dogs in the
county of Charlotte, between the fifteenth day of March and the fit-
teenth day of September of each year.

2. Any person violating the provisions of this act shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be pun-
ished by a fine of not less than ten nor more than fifty dollars, or 1m-
prisonment in jail for not more than thirty days, or both, in the dis-
cretion of the justice or jury trying the case.
