Chap. 1.—An ACT te amend and re-enact section 3470 of the Code of Virginia
in relation to increase of salary of circuit judges. [S B 4]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
ction thirty-four hundred and seventy of the Code of Virginia be
nended and re-enacted su as to read as follows:

Section 3470. The board of supervisors of any county which
vi alone constitute a judicial circuit, and the board of super-
isors of any county im any judicial circuit, now composed of two
nmuties and one city, may increase the salary of its circuit judge,
hich increase shall be paid by the board of supervisors of such
minty out of the general county fund.

Said increase shall not be enlarged or diminished during the
rm of office of the judge.

An emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this act shall
