Chap. 124.—An ACT to Amend and Re-enact Section 1 of an Act Entitled
an Act to Incorporate the Harrisonburg and Covington Railroad Com-
pany, Approved July 11th, 1870.
Approved March 14, 1871.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That section one
of an act entitled an act to incorporate the Harrisonburg and
Covington railroad company, approved July eleventh, eighteen
hundred and seventy, be amended and re-enacted so as to read
as follows:
“§ 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That it shall be lawful to open books of subscription for the
capital stock of a company to be incorporated by the name of
the Harrisonburg and Covington railroad company, for the
purpose of constructing a railroad from, at, or near the town
of Harrisonburg through, by, or near to the town ‘of Coving-
ton, to a point on the line between the statesof West Virginia
and Virginia, in the county of Alleghany.”
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
