Chap. 123.—An ACT to Amend and Re-enact the 1st Section of an Act en-
titled an Act Incorporating the Town of Estillville, in the County of
Scott.
Approved March 14, 1871.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the first sec-
tion of an act entitled an act incorporating the town of Estill-
ville, in the county of Scott, passed March twenty-second,
eighteen hundred and sixty, be amended and re-enacted so as
to read as follows:
“$1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the cor-
porate limits of the town of Kstillville, in the county of Scott,
shall be and are hereby established as follows: beginning at
the southwestern corner of Estillville; thence south forty-one
degrees, west sixty poles, to a stake; thence south forty-nine
degrees, east forty-six poles, to two poplars; thence north
forty-one degrees, east one hundred and ninety-six poles, to an
apple tree; thence north forty-nine degrees, west one hundred
and ten poles, to a stake; thence south forty-one degrees, west
one hundred and ninety-six poles, toa stake; thence south
forty-nine degrees, east sixty-four poles, to the beginning of
the first line. And the same shall be and is hereby made a
town corporate, by the name of The Town of Estillville; and
by that name shall have and exercise the powers conferred
upon towns by the fifty-fourth chapter of the Code of Virginia,
and be subject to all the provisions of said Code, except so
much thereof as is modified or repealed by this act.”
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
