States Senator.
Agreed to March 13, 1871.
Resolved (with the concurrence of the Senate), That the two
houses of the general assembly will proceed on Tuesday, the
fourteenth of March instant, at twelve o’clock M. to elect a sena-
tor to the congress of the United States, according to the pro-
visions of the act of congress to supply the vacancy cansed by
the expiration of the term of the Honorable John W. John-
ston.
