Chap. 97.—An ACT for the protection of deer in the county of Prince George.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it
shall be unlawful for any person to hunt, kill, or capture in any man-
ner any deer in the county of Prince George between the fifteenth day
of January and the first day of December of any year.

2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this act shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, shall
be punished by a fine of not less than five dollars nor more than fifty
dollars, or imprisoned in jail for not more than thirty days, or by
both fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the justice or jury
trying the case.
