Chap. 351.—An ACT to require the commissioner of the revenue of each county
to report each year to the commissioner of agriculture the number of
horses and mules, cattle, sheep and hogs assessed by him. [H B 236]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
commissioner of the revenue of each county shall report, on or before
the first day of November of each year, the number of horses and
mules, cattle, sheep, and hogs assessed by him in his county for said
year, to the commissioner of agriculture and immigration, upon forms
provided by the latter.
2. The commissioner of the revenue shall be paid for this addi-
tional service from money in the State treasury not otherwise appro-
priated, a sum equal to twenty-five cents per hundred farms located
in his said county, as shown by the most recent United States census,
upon certification by the commissioner of agriculture and immigration
that the work herein required has been properly performed.
