Chap. 337.—An ACT to authorize the military board of the Commonwealth
to exchange by conveyance with the Norfolk Southern Railroad Company
a new right of way through the State rifle range in Princess Anne county,
and sufficient land for a station and siding, in return for the old right
of way of the Norfolk Southern Railroad Company through the State
rifle range; and to ratify certain acts of the military board heretofore
taken in connection with the exchange herein authorized. [H B 176]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
military board of the Commonwealth be, and it is hereby, authorized
and empowered to convey by good and sufficient deed in the name and
on behalf of the Commonwealth of Virginia, to Norfolk Southern Rail-
road Company, at such time and in such manner as said board may
deem advisable, a right of way sixty-six feet in width through the
northern and western portion of the present State rifle range prop-
erty, near Virginia Beach, in Princess Anne county, Virginia, together
with such other land as may be necessary for the establishment of a
railroad station and side track facilities, upon the delivery to the said
military board of a proper deed or deeds conveying to the Common-
wealth in fee simple all the right, title and interest of Norfolk South-
ern Railroad Company in and to that portion of the old right of way
which lies within the boundaries of the State rifle range, hereafter
to be known as the State military reservation.
2. All actions heretofore taken by the military board in conformi-
ty with the provisions of this act and prior to its enactment, are hereby
ratified, approved and confirmed.
3. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
