Chap. 570.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Henry county,
and the incorporated towns in said county, to apply the whole or any part
of the district road taxes now collected by law on intangible personal property
or that may be collected by law in the future to the maintenance of the
public free schools of said county of Henry. [H B 231]
Approved March 24, 1926.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
beard of supervisors of Henry county is hereby authorized to divert
all taxes collected within the county of Henry by law on intangible
personal property for magisterial district road purposes to be applied
exclusively to the maintenance of the public free schools of ‘said
county of Henry, and that any balance that may be on hand when
this act becomes effective of said magisterial district road funds in said
county of Henry, collected for the year nineteen hundred and twenty-
five on intangible personal property shall also be diverted to the main-
tenance of the public free schcols of said county of Henry; and any
incorporated town in said county of Henry which bv law has the right

to collect a similar tax is hereby authorized to divert the funds fron,
said tax so collected by law to the maintenance of the public free
schools of said county.
2. An emergency existing by reason of a lack of funds for the
maintenance of the public free schools of said county of Henry, this
act shall take effect from its passage.
