Chap. 445.—An ACT to amend arfPact entitled an act.to incorporate the town
of Urbanna, in the county of Middlesex, approved April 2, 1902, by adding
thereto a new section to be numbered section 24, which new section relates
to the powers of the council of the said town. [H B 474]
Approved March 24, 1926.
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That an act
entitled an act to incorporate the town of Urbanna, in the county of
Middlesex, approved April second, nineteen hundred and two, be
amended by adding thereto a new section to be numbered section
twenty-four, which new section shall read as follows:
Section 24. The council shall have power to close or extend,
widen or narrow, lay out and graduate, pave and otherwise improve
streets and public alleys in the town of Urbanna, and have them prop-
erly lighted and kept in good order; and the council shall have over
any street or alley in the town which has been or may be ceded to the
town like authority as over other streets or alleys.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
