Chap. 423.—An ACT authorizing the town of Wytheville to convey to Mrs. A. E.
Sharitz, a certain portion of Twelfth street in said town, in exchange for a
certain lot of land needed to extend North street. [H B 346]
Approved March 24, 1926.
Whereas, by an agreement between the town council of Wythe-
ville and Mistress A. E. Sharitz, North street, in said town, has been
extended from a point in front of the West End cemetery through a
lot belonging to the said Mistress Sharitz, to the macadam road, and
the said extension has been opened and dedicated for a public street
or road; and ,
Whereas, it is provided in said agreement that the portion of
twelfth street extending from the intersection with Monroe street to
the south line of North street, which is no longer needed for street or
road purposes, shall be conveyed to the said Mistress A. E. Sharitz;
an
Whereas, the said exchange of property has been approved by the
town council of Wytheville, by resolution of the said council adopted
at a regular meeting held on the fifth day of February, nineteen
hundred and twenty-six, and it is now desired by the said council and
Mistress Sharitz, that the exchange be authorized by the State of
Virginia; now, therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
town council of the said town of Wytheville is hereby authorized and
empowered to make exchange of property set forth in the resolution
of February fifth, nineteen hundred and twenty-six, and the mayor
and clerk of the said town are hereby authorized to execute and de-
liver a good and sufficient deed with special warranty of title conveying
that part of twelfth street in said town above described, to Mistress
A. E. Sharitz.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
