Chap. 415.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 12 of an act entitled an act
to incorporate the town of Windsor, in the county of Isle of Wight, approved
March 15, 1902, as heretofore amended. [H B 326
Approved March 24, 1926.
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
twelve of an act entitled an act to incorporate the town of Windsor,
in the county of Isle of Wight, approved March fifteenth, nineteen
hundred and two, as heretofore amended, be amended and re-enacted
so as to read as follows:
Section 12. The council is hereby authorized to lay, collect, and
apply a general levy not exceeding one dollar and fifty cents on each
one hundred dollars worth of property subject to local levy or taxation
at its assessed value. The said council may also levy and collect an
additional capitation tax not exceeding fifty cents per annum on each
male and female resident within the corporate limits not less than
twenty-one years of age, except those pensioned by the State for
military services, which shall be applied in aid of the public schools
of such town or for such other town purposes as the said council shall
determine.
