Chap. 390.—An ACT designating the open season for hunting deer in Nanse-
mond, and Chesterfield counties, and prescribing penalties. [H B 515]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
open season for killing deer in Nansemond, and Chesterfield counties
shall be from October first to November thirtieth, inclusive, of each
year.
2. Any person hunting, killing or capturing deer at any time
otherwise than provided for in section one of this act shall be deemed
guilty ofa misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a
fine of not less than twenty-five dollars nor more than fifty dollars,
or imprisonment in jail for not less than thirty nor more than sixty
days, or both, in the discretion of the justice or jury trying the case.
