Chap. 311.—An ACT authorizing the military board to sell and convey or ex-
change certain property belonging to the Commonwealth in Princess Anne
county, known as Camp Trinkle, at such time and for such price and upon
such conditions as said military board may deem advisable, and to use the
proceeds of sale for the purchase and equipment of a camp site and rifle
range elsewhere. {S B 273]

Whereas, the Commonwealth of Virginia is the owner of certain
tracts of land in Princess Anne county near Virginia beach, known as
Camp Trinkle, which land has been used as a camp site and rifle
range, and
Whereas, a suit is now pending i in the circuit court of the city of
Richmond against the Military board, brought by certain property
owners seeking to enjoin the use of property adjoining said Camp
Trinkle and if said suit should prevail it may be necessary, or inde-
pendent of said suit if it be expedient, for the Military board to
abandon the said site as a rifle range and camp site; now, therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
Military board be and the same is hereby empowered with full
authority to sell and convey or exchange by good and sufficient deed
in the name and on behalf of the Commonwealth at such time in such
manner, and for such consideration and upon such conditions as it
may deem advisable, after ten days’ advertisement in newspapers
published in the cities of Richmond, Norfolk, Lynchburg, Petersburg
and Roanoke, the property belonging to the Commonwealth in
Princess Anne county known as Camp Trinkle.
2. The said board is further authorized to use the proceeds from
the sale of said property for the purpose of acquiring and equipping
a camp site and rifle range elsewhere in this Commonwealth.
