Chap. 282.—An ACT to appropriate the sum of $1,080.00 for each year of the
biennium ending February 29, 1928, to increase the compensation of certain
employees in the State office building and library building. [S B 335]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
salary of each of the seven following employees in the State office
building and two at the library building, be, and it is hereby, increased
to the extent of ten dollars per month for each month of the biennium
ending on February twenty-ninth, nineteen hundred and twenty-
eight, that is to say the mechanic, the elevator conductor and me-
chanic, two elevator conductors, the window cleaner and two elevatcr
conductors and night watchman, and one elevator conductor and one
night watchman at the library building. In order to pay the increases
hereby authorized, there is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in
the State treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of one thousand
and eighty dollars for each year of the appropriation biennium ending
on February twenty-ninth, nineteen hundred and twenty-eight.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
