Chap. 263.--An ACT to authorize the town of Martinsville, in Henry county, to
hold an election in the year 1926 for the purpose of authorizing the council
of said town to issue the bonds of said town under section 77 of its charter,
as amended by an act, approved Ifebruary & 1926. |H B 439]

Approved March 23, 1926.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
town of Martinsville, in Henry county, be, and it is hereby, authorized
to hold at any time during the year nineteen hundred and twenty-six,
an election for the issue of the bonds of said town pursuant to the
provisions of section seventy-seven of its charter, as amended by an
act approved February eight, nineteen hundred and twenty-six, not-
withstanding the provisions of section three thousand and eighty-
cight of the Code of Virginia, prohibiting the holding of such election
within twelve months from a prior election for a similar purpose.

2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
prissage.
