Chap. 110.—An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act for the pro-
tection of deer in the counties of Northumberland, Westmoreland, Lan-
caster, Richmond, King George, Stafford and Rockingham. approved
February 17, 1922. [H B 160]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That an
act entitled an act for the protection of deer in the counties of North-
umberland, Westmoreland, Lancaster, Richmond, King George and
Stafford, approved February seventeenth, nineteen hundred and
twenty-two, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 1. It shall be unlawful to hunt or kill deer in the counties
of Northumberland, Westmoreland, Lancaster, Richmond, Rocking-
ham, King George and Stafford at any time within five years from
the seventeenth day of February, nineteen hundred and twenty-
seven. Any person violating the provisions of this act shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof fined
one hundred dollars.
Section 2. The possession of venison or the skin or other part of
a deer shall be taken as prima facie evidence of guilt under this act.
