1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
one of an act entitled, ‘‘an act to provide a road commission for Frank-
town magisterial district, in Northampton county, and to repeal pre-
vious acts,”’, approved Septemher ninth, nineteen hundred and: nineteen,
be amended and.re-enacted so as to read as follows:).
Section’ 1.. The district road, commission of Franktown magisterial
district 1n the’ county, of’ Northampton, heretofore’, created, is hereby
continued, which commission shall have exclusive control of' all roads
and bridges within the limits of the said district, and. also of all taxe:
levied for road purposes and for building and repairing bridges therein
that is to say, that the taxes'levied in the said magisterial district fo
road purposes shall be expended in said district, including its share o
the county ‘levy, for: road purposes; and of all moneys which may b
borrowed ‘by the board ‘of supervisors, under any law now existing, o:
which may hereafter be enacted, for the purpose of building, improvin,
and maintaining: the pubhe reads and bridges within the said district
The members of the'said commission shal! serve for a term of four year.
from the date of their appomtment,'and upon the expiration of thi
regular term of any such: member, his successor shall be appointed fo
the: full-term of-four-years.-"
2. Anemergency existing, this act shall be in force from its passage
