Chap. 54.—An ACT to prohibit the killing of pheasants and Hungarian partridge
in Sussex, Surry, Prince George and Greensville counties, Virginia, and pro-
viding punishment for violations. [S B 222]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall
be unlawful to kill or capture any wild pheasants in Sussex, Surry,
Prince George and Greensville counties, Virginia, except on private
game preserves in Surry county on which ring-necked pheasants have
been propagated and protected for two years or more for a period of
two years, or any Hungarian partridge for a period of five years.
2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this act shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, punished by a fine of
not less than ten dollars nor more than twenty-five dollars.
