Chap. 349.—An ACT to declare the courthouse square, on which is located the
courthouse, clerk’s office, jail and other public uildings of Mathews county,
Virginia, a part of each of the several magisterial districts of the county of
Mathews, for the purposes of the trial of civil and criminal warrants by the
justices of the peace of Mathews county, and the granting of bail by the bail
commissioner thereat. {fH B 366)

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
courthouse square, on which is located the courthouse, clerk’s office,
jail and other public buildings of Mathews county, Virginia, shall be a
part of each of the several magisterial districts of the county of Mathews,
Virginta, for the purposes of the trial of civil and criminal warrants by
the justices of the peace of Mathews county, and a part of Mathews
county for the hearing of petition for, and granting of bail by the bail
commissioner of the said county.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its passage.
