Chap. 329.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2773 of the Code of Virginia,
as amended by an act approved March 2, 1920, relating to compensation to
clerks of boards of supervisors. (H B 113)

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
twenty-seven hundred and seventy-three of the Code of Virginia, as
amended by an act approved March second, nineteen hundred and
twenty, relating to compensation to clerks of boards of supervisors, be
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 2773. Salary of clerk.—Such clerk shall receive a reason-
able compensation for his services as clerk of the board, not to exceed in
any one year the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, and the clerks of
the board of supervisors of the counties of Augusta and Wise may, in the
discretion of the said boards, receive a salary not exceeding seven hun-
dred and twenty dollars per annum; and the clerks of the boards of
supervisors of the counties of Bath and Highland may, in the discretion
of the said boards, receive a salary of not exceeding three hundred dol-
lars per annum.
