Chap. 324.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of the county of Scott
to levy, for local school purposes, a district tax, in addition to the maximum
now authorized by general law, on all property in Floyd magisterial and
school district subject to district taxation for school purposes. {H B 397]

Approved March 20, 1924.

1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the board
of supervisors of the county of Scott be, and it is hereby, authorized, on
motion of the member of the board of supervisors from Floyd magis-
terial and school district in the said county, annually to levy in that
district, in addition to the maximum levies for local school purposes now
authorized by general law, a tax of not exceeding fifty cents on every one
hundred dollars of the assessed value of all property in that district sub-
ject to district taxation for school purpdses. The revenue derived from
any such additional levy shall be expended for the benefit of the schools
of that district.

2. Anemergency existing, this act shall be in force from its passage.
