Chap. 280.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2422 of the Code of Virginia,
in relation to the compensation of delinquent capitation tax collectors 039]
Approved March 15, 1924.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
twenty-four hundred and twenty-two of the Code of Virginia be amended
and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
“Section 2422. Compensation of collector.—The said collector shall
be allowed thirty-three and one-third per centum of all amounts col-
lected by him, and shall on the first of each month make a report to the
clerk of the court, by which he was appointed, of the amounts collected
by him and from whom collected, and shall at the same time pay over
to the clerk of said court sixty-six and two-thirds per centum of the
amount collected; and the clerk shall issue to the said collector a re-
ceipt for the amount paid over to him and shall at the same time for-
ward to the auditor of public accounts a duplicate of said receipt.”
