Chap. 224.—An ACT to appropriate to the commission on simplification and econ-
omy of State and local government a sum to reimburse the members of the com-
mission for expenses actually incurred in the performance of their duty and in
the employment of clerical assistance and to provide a per diem Cone ET
for said members.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That;the’sum
of thirty-two hundred and forty-four dollars and thirty-three cents, be,
and it is hereby appropriated from the funds in the treasury not other-
wise appropriated to reimburse the members of the commission on
simplification and economy of State and local government for traveling
and hotel expenses actually incurred in the performance of their duties,
and to pay the obligations incurred by the commission for clerical’ aid,
and to provide the per diem compensation prescribed in an act ap-
proved March twenty-fourth, nineteen hundred and twenty-two, for.ser-
vices performed in the making of their report. Disbursements auth-
orized by this act shall be paid by the treasurer of Virginia, upon war-
rants of the auditor of public accounts, upon certificates signed by the
ehairman of the commission and countersigned by the secretary.
An emergency exists, this act shall be in force from its passage.
