1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That an act
entitled an act to incorporate the town of Keysville, in the county of
Charlotte, approved May twenty-fourth, eighteen hundred and eighty-
seven, be amended by adding thereto a new section, numbered three-a,
as follows:

Section 3-a. The town sergeant shall hereafter be elected by the
council for terms of four years.

2. Anemergency existing, this act shall be in force from its passage.
