Chap. 125.—An ACT to change the names of Salt pond and Fresh pond in Princess
Anne county to Lake Tecumseh and Redwing lake, respectively. [H B 2389}

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
name of the body of water situated in the county of Princess Anne,
heretofore known as Salt pond, be, and the same is hereby, changed to
Lake Tecumseh, and the name of the body of water in said county
heretofore known as Fresh pond, be, and the same is hereby, changed
to Redwing lake; and wherever the names “Salt pond” and ‘Fresh
pond’”’ appear or may hereafter appear in the statutes, ordinances,
resolutions, decrees, judgments or elsewhere, or in any other manner,
the same shall be construed to mean ‘‘Lake Tecumseh” and “Redwing
lake,’’ respectively, the sole purpose of this act being to change the
names of said bodies of water.
