Chap. 150.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Fairfax
county to levy county license taxes and fees on motor vehicles operated
in the said county for the carriage of passengers or freight for hire
or compensation on or over the public roads of the same. [H B 104]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the board of supervisors of Fairfax county is hereby authorized
and empowered to levy and provide for the collection of county
license taxes or fees, not in excess of the State license taxes or
fees prescribed for the the same kind or class of motor vehicle,
on all motor vehicles operated in the said county for the carriage
of passengers or freight for hire or compensation on or over the
public roads of the same. The revenue derived from the taxes
or fees levied under and by virtue of the provisions of this act
shall be used for such county purposes as the board of super-
visors may determine.
