Chap. 443.—An ACT to authorize and empower the counties of Hanover,
Henrico, King William, and the city of Richmond, or any one or more of
them, to acquire by purchase or otherwise, or to contribute to the purchase
of the toll road running from the city of Richmond to Mechanicsville in
Hanover county, and known as the New Mechanicsville turnpike. [H B 496]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
counties of Hanover, Henrico, King William, and the city of Rich-
mond, or any two or more of the said counties or the said city, be,
and they are hereby authorized and empowered to acquire by purchase
or otherwise, or to contribute to the purchase of, the toll road run-
ning from the city of Richmond to Mechanicsville in the county of
Hanover known as the New Mechanicsville turnpike.
