Chap. 51.-An ACT providing for Advance Payment of Annuity to the Virginia Military Institute

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the auditor
of public accounts be and he is hereby authorized to issue his
warrant or warrants on the treasury in advance, for the an-
nuity of fifteen thousand dollars, payable to the Virginia Mili-
tary institute during the fiscal year beginning the first of
October, one thousand eight hundred and seventy, in such
sums, and at such times, as the governor shall certify that the
same may be paid without detriment to the public interests ;
such payments to be in discharge pro tanto of said annuity
for said year. :

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
