in fruit and vegetable canneries and to transmit merchandise or run errands.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, that chil-
dren over the age of twelve years shall be permitted to work in fruit
or vegetable canneries for not more than eight hours in any one day,
when the public schools are not actually in session.
2. All acts or parts of acts inconsistent with this act are hereby
repealed.
