Chap. 27.—An ACT to amend section 6105 of the Code of Virginia. [HB 24]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
sixty-one hundred and five of the Code of Virginia be amended and
re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Sec. 6105. How and when exception to jurisdiction to be taken;
when pleas in abatement filed—Where the declaration or bill shows
on its face proper matter for the jurisdiction of the court no excep-
tion for want of such jurisdiction shall be allowed unless it be taken
by plea in abatement. No such plea or any other plea in abatement
shall be received after the defendant has demurred, pleaded in bar
or answered to the declaration or bill, nor after the rules next suc-
ceeding the rules at which the declaration or bill is filed.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
