1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That sec-
tion fifty-four hundred and twelve of the Code be amended and re-
enacted so as to read as follows:
Sec. 5412. The clerk of each court shall furnish the commissioner
of accounts of said court a suitable record book and such other books
and stationery as may from time to time be needed, which shall be paid
for as other books and stationery used for public records; and when
a commissioner ceases to act as such, the said books and stationery
shall be delivered to his successor.
