Whereas, at the September and November term, nineteen hundred
and eighteen, the circuit court of Washington county allowed certain
jurors in their pay for services in attendance upon said courts in the

trary to section four thousand and forty-nine of the Code of Vir-
ginia of eighteen hundred and eighty-seven, as amended, providing
for pay of criminal jurors; and warrants issued on said claims having
been delivered to said jurors and same having been paid to them by
the treasurer of Washington county, Virginia, in full, upon the order
of said court; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
auditor of public accounts is hereby authorized, upon settlement with
said treasurer of said county, to credit him by same.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
