Chap. 202.—An ACT to prevent the trapping of foxes in the counties of Albe-
marle, Nelson and Amherst. [H B 416]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall
be unlawful for any person to trap foxes in the counties of Albemarle,
Nelson and Amherst, except during the month of November in each
year.
2. Those who trap foxes visit their traps once every day, and
release any dog or dogs, or other domestic animals and fowl that may
have been caught in said traps, and be liable for all damages done by
traps to dogs, domestic animals and fowl.
3. Any person violating any of the provisions of this act shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction fined not less
than ten nor more than fifty dollars for each offense.
