Chap. 116.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2773 of the Code of Virginia,
and to repeal an act entitled an act to amend and re-enact section 852 of
the Code of Virginia of 1887, as amended by an act approved March 14, 1908,
approved March 6, 1918, and an act entitled an act to amend and re-enact
section 852 of the Code of 1887, as dmended by an act approved March
14, 1908, relating to compensation to clerks of boards of supervisors, ap-
proved March 14, 1918. (H B 76]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
twenty-seven hundred and seventy-three of the Code of Virginia be
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
sec. 2773. Salary of clerk.—Such clerk shall receive a reasonable
compensation for his services as clerk of the board, not to exceed
im any one year the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, and the
clerk of the board of supervisors of the counties of Aiigusta and Wise
may, in the discretion of the said boards, receive a salary not exceed-
ing seven hundred and twenty dollars per annum.
. An act entitled an act to amend and re-enact section eight
hundred and fifty-two of the Code of Virginia of eighteen hundred
and eighty-seven, as amended by an act approved March fourteenth,
nineteen hundred and eight, approved March sixth, nineteen hundred
and eighteen, and an act entitled an act to amend and re-enact
section eight hundred and fifty-two of the Code of eighteen hundred
and eighty-seven, as amended by an act approved March fourteenth,
nineteen hundred and eight, relating to compensation to clerks of
boards of supervisors, approved March fourteenth, nineteen hundred
and eighteen, are hereby repealed.
