Chap. 46.—An ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of the
county of Henrico to borrow money and issue bonds for the purpose of
repairing and enlarging the courthouse of said county. [S B 67]

Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, as follows:
Sec. 1. The board of supervisors of Henrico county is hereby
authorized and empowered to borrow a sum not exceeding twenty
thousand dollars and to issue bonds therefor, the proceeds of said
bonds to be used for the purpose of repairing and enlarging the
court house of said county.
Sec. 2. The bonds authorized by this act shall be signed by the
chairman of the board of supervisors of Henrico county and counter-
signed by the clerk thereof; they shall be issued in such denomina-
tions as the said board may provide, and shall be payable within
fifteen years after date, bearing interest not excceding six per centum
per annum, payable semi-annually. The said bonds shall not be sold
for less than par, and the board of supervisors shall have the nght
to redeem the whole-issue or any part thereof at any time after the
expiration of ten years from their date of issue.
Sec. 3. The board of supervisors shall annually set aside out of
the general levy a sum sufficient to pay the interest on the said bonds
and to create a sinking fund to redeem the principal thereof at
maturity.
Sec. 4. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from
its passage.
