Chap. 242.—An ACT to make it unlawful to destroy or disturb the nests of
wild turkeys in this Commonwealth. [H B 133]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it
shall be unlawful for any person to destroy or disturb the nests of
wild turkeys in this State, provided that the eggs and young of the
wild turkeys may be taken, for propagation purposes, only, under
a permit from the commissioner of game and inland fisheries.
Violations of the provisions of this act shall be deemed a misde-
meanor and punished by a fine of not less than five dollars nor more
than twenty-five dollars. ,
