Chap. 224.—An ACT to validate, ratify, approve and confirm bonds heretofore
and hereafter issued on elections heretofore held authorizing the issuance
of such bonds by any county of the State for the purpose of rec
or otherwise improving public roads or bridges of magisterial ae
said county. B 501)

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That all
elections heretofore held in any county of the State to provide for the
issuance of bonds for the purpose of macadamizing or otherwise per-
manently improving the public roads or bridges of any magisterial
district or road district in said county be, and the same are hereby,
validated, ratified, approved and confirmed, notwithstanding any de-
fect or irregularity in the calling or holding of said elections or in
the petitions presented to the circuit court praying for the holding
of said elections, and said proceedings be, and the same are hereby,
validated, approved and confirmed, and said bonds are hereby de-
clared to be the valid and binding obligations of the counties au-
thorizing the issuance of said bonds. Provided, however, that this
act shall not apply to the county of Louisa or any road bonds issued
by said county.
2. An emergency existing, in that certain counties are in urgent
need of funds to be derived from the sale of bonds for the purpose of
improving public roads or bridges in magisterial districts of said
counties, this act shall be in force from its passage.
