Chap. 217.-An ACT to authorize the council of the town of Covington to omit
certain buildings in the town of Covington from taxation by said ate for
a period of five years. [H B 301]

Approved March 15, 1922.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
town council of the town of Covington may by a two-third recorded
vote pass an ordinance providing that no town taxes shall be as-
sessed against any buildings erected in said town, within one year
from the passage of this act, for a period of not exceeding five years
from the date of said ordinance.

2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
