Chap. 127.-An ACT to authorize the appointment of a board composed of
one representative from each the Association for the Preservation of Vir-
ginia Antiquities, the Colonial Dames, the Daughters of the American
Revolution, the Daughters of 1812, and the United Daughters of the Con-
federacy; and to confer upon such board, if and when appointed, authority
to place suitable monuments or markers on, at or in places of historical
interest located in the Commonwealth. {S B 210]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
governor may appoint a board composed of one representative from
each the Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities, the
Colonial Dames, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the
Daughters of eighteen hundred and twelve, and the United Daughters
of the Confederacy, which board, if and when appointed, shall be
authorized to place suitable monuments or markers on, at or in
places of historical interest located in the Commonwealth. The mem-
bers of the said board shall be citizens of Virginia, and the board
may solicit subscriptions from the public to raise the necessary funds
to carry out any program which may be adopted by it.
