CHAP. 59.—An ACT to authorize the military board to pay out of the
military fund, the sum of $7,200, or so much thereof as may be nec-
essary, for the transportation expenses of the officers and cadets of
the Virginia Military Institute in attending the unveiling of a statue
of General Thomas J. (Stonewall) Jackson. [H B 84]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, Tha!
the sum of seven thousand two hundred dollars, or so much there-
of as may be necessary, be, and the same is hereby, authorized,
to be paid out of the military fund of the State, for the purpose
of paying the transportation expenses of the officers and cadets
of the Virginia military institute in attending the unveiling, on
October eleventh, nineteen hundred and nineteen, of a statuc
erected in the city of Richmond to the memory of General Thomas
J. (Stonewall) Jackson. The sum hereby appropriated shall be
disbursed by the military board as other moneys are paid out of
the said military fund.
2. An emergency existing, by reason of the nearness of the
date of the said unveiling, this act shall be-in force from it:
